BackYard is a program that can completely hide and protect your files, folders, specific extensions, www links and drives by making them fully inaccessible (hidden from entire Windows system), write-protected or by any other protection type that you specify.

With BackYard, you can create different protection profiles containing different files and directories and activate them with a single hotkey. You can make a file or directory invisible, write-protected, its attributes unchangeable, impossible to delete or read, or any combination you wish. Plus, you can make any directory deny a file or sub-folder creation.

Protecting all files with a specific extension or an entire drive is also supported. Also includes a built-in search to easily find and protect your files.
