10-Strike Network Inventory Explorer is designed for Microsoft Windows network administrators for maintaining the inventory of network computers. The program allows viewing hardware and software configuration on network computers and generates various reports.
- Hardware inventory. Create inventory database with the hardware installed on remote computers: CPU, memory size, hard drives, partitions, CD/DVD drives, videocards, USB flash drives, etc. Create reports on hardware configurations.
- Software inventory and stock-keeping. Create reports on the availability of particular programs and number of copies installed on network computers. Create reports on versions of operating system, installed updates and bug-fixes, codecs, or startup programs.
- Planning and preparation of hardware upgrades. Create reports on computers with insufficient RAM size or disk space (e.g., all computers with less than 512 MB of RAM). Similarly, you can create reports on computers with particular CPU models, video cards or printers.
- Tracking hardware changes on network computers. View configuration changes and save reports. Discover when users connect new USB flash drives to their computers.
- Tracking software changes on network computers. Discover new software installed on network computers. Audit startup programs.
The program is installed on administrator's computer only, uses WMI technology for scanning hardware and software, and does not require any additional components on users' computers.
With 10-Strike Network Inventory Explorer you can:
- Find network computers and add them to the inventory database.
- View remote computers' hardware configuration. Find out which processors are used in network computers, how much memory is installed, who uses Flash drives (iPods, etc.).
- View remote computers' software configuration. Get information on installed software (including information on operating system type, hotfixes, startup programs).
- Track hardware and software changes on network computers. View the inventory log, which registers configuration changes when computers are re-scanned. The list of controlled data can be configured.
- Create comparison table with the particular data on network computers (RAM or HDD size, free space, CPU's manufacturer and frequency, OS version, availability of particular software).
- Mine data and export it to your database.
- Run queries and generate reports in Ms Word, Ms Excel, HTML, text file formats (view example report).
